The Champion For The Final
This organish-black Tuscani is the walk away Champion at The Duke Auto Fashionate 2008.
Look at the gul-wings doors, the custom made bodykits and whatever not !
Due to protection of the owner's privacy, I have blocked off its number plate. But I can tell you that the number plate itself will cost more than S$50'000 !
Zippy at The Duke Final
Zippy was judged, touched, throughly inspected inside out on 26th & 27th July at the F1 Paddock.
It was the only finalist with the Rally themed concept. The other finalists were either into VIP themed or the Outlaw themed. VIP theme refers to all those rides with diamonds, curtains, crystal, furs and whatever seems 'class'. Outlaw theme refers to those with wide-body bodykits, mind blowing IC systems. They are normally heard before you actually see them !
Zippy won a consolation prize. Good enough cos it was dree up with D.I.Y stuff. If one looks close enough at the rest of the finalists, you won't miss that they are done up with lots of $$$ !!!
The catch end of the day is that Zippy was singled out for a snap by some professional photographers on the F1 track itself ! Now, even the champion of the dress up compeition can't beat that !

A Birthday Gift
I have just hitted my 35th birthday on 7th July. Lots of birthday wishes and little gifts..... Guess time to mellow down. Arn't that fit and 'garung' as before. :(
One of the best gifts this year is an addition to Zippy's look. (The other is a trip to nearby Batam) :) Zippy is now equipped with a pair of really cool looking German-made Hella spot lights. Well, these type of lights are usually installed on jeeps, 4 x 4 and SUVs. But they look pretty cool on Zippy, don't you think so ? They give a very rally look ! Sort of unique too on a hatchback !! The only hatch that pull it off wonderfully is the Mini-Cooper, be it the current models or the classic. Think Swift pull up nicely too.
From the picture, you can see that Zippy look sort of different from previous pictures. That's because I had been using my hands again. (Old habits die hard yeah...) The previous exterior decals on the passenagers' doors had been stripped off and replaced with smaller red & white checks. I tried to arrange them to give the 'flying flag' effect. The end result isn't as perfect but still better than the old decals. Poor me spent a weekend measuring, marking, cutting and arranging the new decals !
Zippy is now about 40% covered with red & white checks ! No wonder my dear friend Michelle had knighted 'Zippy' as 'Checkie' !!!

My Supporters From Swift Club
These chaps are really Zippy's 'die-hard' supporters. During one of the rounds at Bedok, the whole gang turned up and filled up the front carpark. So over-whelming was that spectacular scene that the judges were slightly 'threatened' !!!
With such a big group of supporters, I would be a great let-down if I did less than my best.
Thank you Swift Club ! Aye ! Aye !
