The Champion For The Final

This organish-black Tuscani is the walk away Champion at The Duke Auto Fashionate 2008.

Look at the gul-wings doors, the custom made bodykits and whatever not !

Due to protection of the owner's privacy, I have blocked off its number plate. But I can tell you that the number plate itself will cost more than S$50'000 !

Zippy at The Duke Final

Zippy was judged, touched, throughly inspected inside out on 26th & 27th July at the F1 Paddock.

It was the only finalist with the Rally themed concept. The other finalists were either into VIP themed or the Outlaw themed. VIP theme refers to all those rides with diamonds, curtains, crystal, furs and whatever seems 'class'. Outlaw theme refers to those with wide-body bodykits, mind blowing IC systems. They are normally heard before you actually see them !

Zippy won a consolation prize. Good enough cos it was dree up with D.I.Y stuff. If one looks close enough at the rest of the finalists, you won't miss that they are done up with lots of $$$ !!!

The catch end of the day is that Zippy was singled out for a snap by some professional photographers on the F1 track itself ! Now, even the champion of the dress up compeition can't beat that !

Zippy On F1 Track !

Today's 27th July 2008. It's the last day of the K1 Duke Autofashionate. To end on a big bang, Zippy was singled out for a snap on the new F1 track at F1 Paddoock.

Cool huh ? Notice the bikini model in the background ?

C'mon guys... Stop that nose bleeding and shut your mouths ! :p

A Birthday Gift

I have just hitted my 35th birthday on 7th July. Lots of birthday wishes and little gifts..... Guess time to mellow down. Arn't that fit and 'garung' as before. :(

One of the best gifts this year is an addition to Zippy's look. (The other is a trip to nearby Batam) :) Zippy is now equipped with a pair of really cool looking German-made Hella spot lights. Well, these type of lights are usually installed on jeeps, 4 x 4 and SUVs. But they look pretty cool on Zippy, don't you think so ? They give a very rally look ! Sort of unique too on a hatchback !! The only hatch that pull it off wonderfully is the Mini-Cooper, be it the current models or the classic. Think Swift pull up nicely too.

From the picture, you can see that Zippy look sort of different from previous pictures. That's because I had been using my hands again. (Old habits die hard yeah...) The previous exterior decals on the passenagers' doors had been stripped off and replaced with smaller red & white checks. I tried to arrange them to give the 'flying flag' effect. The end result isn't as perfect but still better than the old decals. Poor me spent a weekend measuring, marking, cutting and arranging the new decals !

Zippy is now about 40% covered with red & white checks ! No wonder my dear friend Michelle had knighted 'Zippy' as 'Checkie' !!!

My Supporters From Swift Club

These chaps are really Zippy's 'die-hard' supporters. During one of the rounds at Bedok, the whole gang turned up and filled up the front carpark. So over-whelming was that spectacular scene that the judges were slightly 'threatened' !!!

With such a big group of supporters, I would be a great let-down if I did less than my best.

Thank you Swift Club ! Aye ! Aye !

Compeitors For The Auto Fashionate

Check out these cool rides. They are Zip's compeitors for the Auto-Fashionate but most of their owners are now my 'car talk' friends !

Zippy's In For Final At Duke-K1 Autofashionate 2008

After going through six rounds of judging and months of making over, Zippy's into the Final of the Duke-K1 Autofashionate 2008 which will be held on 26th & 27th July at the F1 Paddock !

These past six months had been a brain-wreaking time for me. Instead of spending good money buying expensive 'accessories' off the shelves, I had been D.I.Y.ing on lots of stuff in Zip. so much so that my hands had hardly been 'seen respectable' and are always marked with either paint and whatever-not. One of the toughest thing I did was to built an acrylic shelf in the boot to display my Nascar collection. Yo... Yo... The shelf comes with LED lights which are also D.I.Y by Yours sincerely me !

No doubt that my D.I.Y stuff may not be perfect but I prefer them then those 'Garsons' and 'Juction Produces' in the other compeititors' rides. The auto-trend now is 'V.I.P' Themed and Zip's the odd ball among the finalists. Well, that's not surprising considering that it's owner is an odd ball !

I really have to thank my family for putting up with my never-ending 'crap' (think they still haven't get a clue of what the heck I'm doing), my strong team of supporters from Swift Club Singapore and my dear friend Michelle for never failing to give me fantastic ideas and suggestion.

Now, the rest is in God's good hands.

Carpe Diem !

Lego (F1 Ferrari Finish Line 8672)

Got this beautiful set of Lego at a steal ! Can't wait to start on it as soon as possible.

Leak out a secret here..... I brought it without my mum's knowledge. I don't know when the cat will be out of the bag but meanwhile, do let me enjoy the peace before the rainstorm !!

Autobac JB

During one of my countless trips to JB, I found a new place for Zippy to indulge in. It's Autobac and it's located quite near to the Custom.

Cool place with lots of choices for rims, tyres, accessories and whatever not. Installed shock absorbers dampers here. They make Zippy less bumpy over humps and strips.

Most importantly, the pricing are most pleasing !!!

Rims

Was hunting for new shoes for Zippy a while back. Love the Mini Cooper's rims (Top) and the Sakura rims (Bottom).

The Mini rims cost a cool S$2065. Think Zippy will stay stationary for the rest of its life if I had brought them.
As for the Sakura rims, they comes only in 20". Sorry Zip, unsuitable shoes size !!!

Alas... Both of them are not meant for Zippy ... :(

Nascar

Presenting part of my Nascar collection. Too bad, they arent available in our sunny island....

Zippy

Introducing my dear little ride, Zippy !

It had been faithfully journey with me for about 1.5 years and my my..... I spent more $$ and time on it than anything else !

Yeah..yeah... There are more supercars out there but Zippy is still 'The One' for me !

More Zippy

That's just a chip of the ice block. More Zippy.....
